Dear Manukau Institute of Technology,

I write to request all documents help by MIT pertaining to the appointment of Fale Andrew Lesa to the MIT board. Documents sought may include, but are not limited to: a copy of the CV provided by Mr Lesa as part of his appointment process, a copy of any correspondence between government ministers and MIT pertaining to Mr Lesa's appointment, documents that containing due diligence or evaluations of Mr Lesa by MIT (e.g. documents setting out how MIT was satisfied that Mr Lesa was qualified for appointment), and any referee statements provided by a third party regarding Mr Lesa's appointment.

As of 1 October 2022, MIT and Unitec transitioned to become business divisions of Te Pûkenga. This means the Chief Executive of Te Pûkenga is now responsible for the release under the Official Information Act 1982 of information held by MIT and Unitec.
