    Peter,
See the answers to your questions below
- The number of complaints received by the council relating to an apparent
water leak that has existed for a number of years on Cumberland St, near
the intersection with Heta Rd and Awanui St.
For the time period 26/10/17 to 26/10/2022
Call Centre and Online Complaints/Enquiries have led to overall a
 recorded:
·         11 Call outs for Water contractors
·         14 Service Requests under Transportation, no complaints recorded

The Call Centre shares the information about the spring issues with
callers.  At that point callers are asked if they still wish to submit a
 complaint.

- Copies of all internal communication within council and between council
 officers surrounding this apparent leak.
I was unable to find any internal communications.  The attached email
responses indicates awareness and plans in place.

- Details of all action taken to remedy/repair this leak.
Per my information, this leak has existed for a number of years.
Following the 2014 enquiry (see attachment), Transport got Fulton Hogan to
install subsoil drains along the Cumberland St area where springs were
active.  This subsoil drain was extended two years ago all the way to the
bridge. Since there are springs still coming through (see attachment)
Transport will be extending the subsoil system onto Heta Road this summer
 2022/23.
