Why was my OIA request late

John Smith made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for John Smith to read a recent response and update the status.

From: John Smith

Dear New Zealand Police,

On 13 July 2022 I made a OIA request for information.

The file number isR-01-22-21705

I did not receive the information by the due date and had to send in a reminder.

I finally received the information about 8 days late despite the fact the police had already located the information for me on 1 August 2022

It appears that the staff have failed to comply with the OI Act and police general instructions etc.

Yours faithfully,

John Smith
