Inquiry into prosecutions of war crimes by New Zealand mercenaries- further questions
Andrew Li made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was successful.
From: Andrew Li
Dear New Zealand Police,
Further to my previous questions:
1) Have New Zealand Police previously taken any steps to prosecute mercenaries who violated the Mercenary Activities (Prohibition) Act 2004 and other relevant laws, regardless of the eventual judicial outcome of said cases?
2) Have New Zealand Police previously initiated any investigations of New Zealand mercenaries who fought in wars of aggression such as Mark Mitchell, which have since been terminated and are thus no longer current? If so, what documents are available for release on these investigations.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Li
