Medical training subsidies

G S made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for G S to read recent responses and update the status.

From: G S

Dear Ministry of Health,

Could you please confirm if the costs of medical training (MBChB) for NZ Citizens is subsidised by the government/MOH and if yes, how much does the government spend per student?

If the answer to above question is yes, what conditions, if any, do these (partially funded) medical graduates have to fulfill if they want to leave new Zealand within 5 years of completing medical training?

Does this subsidy apply to Australian Citizens who apply for medical training in NZ?

Thank you for your time.

Yours faithfully,

G S
