- any and all communications/emails relating to content that can and can't be published in accordance with receiving money from the fund
- topics that can and can't be reported on
- any narratives that are required to be reported on
- any and all directives to a media outlet if a report was published where are warning was sent to the media outlet (if at all)

I would also request a list of keywords that are not permitted in our media and a copy of the “writing guidelines” for the personnel placed in non state owned media organizations . For example which words are keywords in the “not allowed” list such as apartheid, discrimination, discriminating, classist, separate, separatist, partisan, NZ Bill of Rights, freedom of thought, disease transmission, transmissible disease, shedding, adverse effects, adverse events etc.

I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your official information request below regarding the Public Interest Journalism Fund that was transferred from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and received by Irirangi Te Motu - NZ On Air on 14 March 2022.

I also understand that the request includes:

"keywords that are not permitted in our media and a copy of the "writing guidelines" for the personnel placed in non state owned media organizations . For example which words are keywords in the "not allowed" list such as apartheid, discrimination, discriminating, classist, separate, separatist, partisan, NZ Bill of Rights, freedom of thought, disease transmission, transmissible disease, shedding, adverse effects, adverse events etc"

We received the request on 14 March 2022 and will endeavour to respond to your request within the statutory timeframe no later than 11 April 2022, being 20 working days after the date we receive your request. If we are unable to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of an extension of that timeframe.
