Dear Zachariah, 

 

I refer to your request we received regarding the Civic Building floor plans. 

 

After careful consideration, we have decided to refuse your request due to the heighten security
concerns. We are withholding this information under the following section of the Local Government
official Information and Meetings Act 1987:

* Section 6(b) – endanger the safety of any person

However we can disclose the total Council Rentable Area at Te Hononga is 19,437.64m^2. 

 

In the Council's view the reasons for withholding these details are not outweighed by public interest
considerations in section 7(1) favouring their release.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information

602.
