Dear Jim,

 

To provide some context, Councillor Mauger as an elected member would have
corresponded with staff (and vice-versa) potentially thousands of times
since 2019. Each email would need to be checked to see whether it referred
to Maugers Contracting Ltd.

 

As drafted your request would require an extensive search of emails over a
prolonged period. I am unable to provide a specific time involved but it
would be considerable and certainly constitute substantial collation and
research. The Council could consider charging for this as per our charging
guidelines:

However, any charge must be reasonable and given the potential time it
could take to search for this information, the cost could be substantial.
