1. All the advice provided to and correspondence with Councillors Gough, Mauger, and Turner by Council officers since the beginning of the 2019-22 term regarding their compliance/non-compliance with the Local Authorities (Members' Interests) Act 1968.
2. All the general advice provided to Councillors regarding the above Act in the term to Councillors.
3. A record of declarations of interest made at Council meetings or briefings by the above Councillors in this term, and the actions taken as a result by those Councillors.

My apologies for the delay in reply, and that I am only providing a
partial response at this stage (I am following up with staff and will send
you the answers to your other questions shortly).
Please see the information relating to question three:
3. A record of declarations of interest made at Council meetings or
briefings by the above Councillors in this term, and the actions taken as
a result by those Councillors.
There have been 48 Council meetings, including Annual Plan, Long Term
Plan, Representation Review and extraordinary meetings, between the
inaugural meeting of the term held on 24 October 2019 and 30 June 2021.

Meeting agendas and minutes include a ‘Declarations of Interest Ngā
Wakapuaki Aronga’ section for members to declare an interest in a matter
on the agenda. A member’s declaration and non-participation is also listed
within the Council decision on a matter.

Thank you for your patience in waiting for this overdue response. The
following has been provided by Mr John Filsell - Head of Community
Support, Governance and Partnerships.
Mr Smithson, please can I take this opportunity to thank you for your
patience over the length of time it has taken to provide this additional
information. I wish to apologise to this delay which was primarily due to
increased workloads caused by managing the implications of the COVID-19
pandemic.
Please find attached:
· A copy of Councils Code of Conduct. Appendix A. specifically
refers to the Local Authorities (Members Interests) Act 1968. Elected
members are provided with a copy and the content is discussed during
elected member induction. In the case of the current Council induction
was undertaken in October 2019. We have previously supplied a copy of the
induction process.
· A copy of the declaration requested from the Office of the
Auditor General that was circulated to all Councillors.
