Border COVID cases and vaccination status

Lisa made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry of Health should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Lisa

Dear Ministry of Health,

I would like to make an Official Information request for a monthly break down of the number of people who have arrived at our border, the number of these people who tested positive and the number of people who are eligible and partially vaccinated, eligible and fully vaccinated, eligible and not vaccinated, not eligible. If the person tested positive what strand of the virus it was e.g delta.

Please provide this information for each month since 1 September 2021.

Yours faithfully,

Lisa

Kia ora Lisa,

Thank you for your request for official information, received on 5
February 2022 requesting:

“a monthly break down of the number of people who have arrived at our

people who are eligible and partially vaccinated, eligible and fully
vaccinated, eligible and not vaccinated, not eligible. If the person
tested positive what strand of the virus it was e.g delta.

The Ministry of Health has decided to extend the period of time available
to respond to your request under section 15A of the Official Information

quantity of official information.

You can now expect a response to your request on, or before, 5 April 2022.

You have the right, under section 28 of the Act, to ask the Ombudsman to
review my decision to extend the time available to respond to your
request.
