I refer to your official information request, dated 15 December 2021, for
information related to Creative New Zealand funding agreements. We’ve
considered your request under the provisions of the Official Information
Act 1982 (‘the Act’), which is based on the principle that information
held by government agencies should be made available on request unless
there is good reason for withholding it.  

 

Creative New Zealand provides its funding agreements in the following
formats:

 1. An interactive PDF for our Creative New Zealand funding agreement
(used widely across our Grants programme, Special Opportunities,
Initiatives & Pilots, International and Capability Building
programmes)
 2. As a PDF for our funding agreements with Toi Tôtara Haemata and Toi
Uru Kahikatea investment programme clients
 3. We also offer to send hard copies of funding agreements to funded
applicants on request.

 

We recently reviewed and made changes to our Creative New Zealand funding
agreement and you can read more about this here:

The funding agreements for Toi Tôtara Haemata and Toi Uru Kahikatea
investment programme clients were reviewed and updated in 2019. These
agreements were issued for funding from 2020 onwards. In 2022 Creative New
Zealand will review these funding agreements as we seek requests for
proposals from Toi Uru Kahikatea investment programme clients.

 

We do not plan to supply the existing funding agreements in other
alternative formats; however we do plan on building funding agreement
signing and processing functionality into the Creative New Zealand Portal.
The timeframe for this development is not confirmed.  

 

As stated in your email of 20 December, we understand you have concerns
regarding special conditions which must be met in order to uplift a
Creative New Zealand grant. We suggest the applicant, or you with Jacob’s
written permission, contact Funding Services to discuss the conditions at
