Dear Philip Rossiter,

Your response is simply is not true.

Government departments are partnering with multinational tech companies like Microsoft on a range of initiatives, although the active or direct partnerships may well be with some sort of QUANGO, rather than between the partners with whom the QUANGO has actively or directly entered into partnerships with.

For example:

https://www.belab.co.nz/our-partners

As per the link above, you can see that Belab partners with Microsoft at at least two government departments, a university, and a corporate: ACC, the Ministry of Social Development, AUT University, Microsoft, and Sudima Hotels.

Perhaps I did not word my request as well as I could have. In that case, I would like to resubmit my original request, but in a way that captures the example above, and any other examples of a similar sort:

Therefore, please provide a list of organisations partnered with government departments and corporate bodies.

No direct partnership arrangement between the government department and the corporate need formally exist or according to whatever definition you are working with (although they are bound to; and I expect, eventually, get a-hold of that correspondence.

Look at Belab as an example, and provide a list of similar initiatives, across government.

Thank you and sincerely,

Victoria Muninn

Subject: Re: FW: Official Information request - Co-funding arrangements
with Microsoft and other tech companies

Dear Philip Rossiter,

Your response is simply is not true.

Government departments are partnering with multinational tech companies
like Microsoft on a range of initiatives, although the active or direct
partnerships may well be with some sort of QUANGO, rather than between the
partners with whom the QUANGO has actively or directly entered into
partnerships with.

For example:

[7]https://aus01.safelinks.protection.outlo...

As per the link above, you can see that Belab partners with Microsoft at
at least two government departments, a university, and a corporate: ACC,
the Ministry of Social Development, AUT University, Microsoft, and Sudima
Hotels.

Perhaps I did not word my request as well as I could have. In that case, I
would like to resubmit my original request, but in a way that captures the
example above, and any other examples of a similar sort:

Therefore, please provide a list of organisations partnered with
government departments and corporate bodies.

No direct partnership arrangement between the government department and
the corporate need formally exist or according to whatever definition you
are working with (although they are bound to; and I expect, eventually,
get a-hold of that correspondence.

Look at Belab as an example, and provide a list of similar initiatives,
across government.

Thank you and sincerely,

Victoria Muninn
