NZ Border Police
Jason McIntosh made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health
The request was successful.
From: Jason McIntosh
Dear Ministry of Health,
If this ‘Delta’ is as dangerous as the government mass propaganda campaign suggests, and if the ‘vaccines’ being forced upon the uneducated public are as essential as our ‘dear leader’ insists , then why is it not being mandated that Police staff manning the ‘borders’ be vaccinated like the rest of our front line border staff ? Is this a way of ensuring that there are enough healthy police staff left to enforce these immoral ‘Emergency Health Regulations ‘?
Yours faithfully,
Jason McIntosh

Tēnā koe Jason
Thank you for your email dated 26 September 2021. We appreciate you taking
the time to write to us on mandatory vaccinations for Police officers
working at alert level boundaries.
COVID-19 vaccination has been mandatory for Police staff working at the
international border under the COVID-19 Public Health Response
(Vaccinations) Order 2021 (the Vaccinations Order). The Vaccinations Order
requires that certain work at New Zealand’s border or a managed isolation
or quarantine (MIQ) facility only be performed by vaccinated people due to
the very high risk of exposure to COVID-19. At the time the Vaccinations
Order was established, there were no internal borders that needed to be
managed by Police.
Since then, vaccination of police staff has progressed through workplace
vaccination programmes and we understand that 80 percent of police
officers have now received one vaccine, and 64 percent are fully
vaccinated. Note these figures will quickly become outdated as records are
updated to include recent vaccinations.
The Government is taking an educational approach to build trust and
confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine through the sharing of regular,
credible and accessible information so individuals can make an informed
decision. People in New Zealand including Police staff are strongly
encouraged to receive the COVID-19 vaccine to protect themselves, their
whānau and the wider community. It may reassure you that over 6 million
doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in New Zealand to date.
Thank you again for writing to us.
