Comment on if you are closely monitoring the adverse reactions side
effects from the Covid-19 vaccine in children.

and

provide comment and liaise with Medsafe to have this shut down as the
government is now complicit in a drug trial.

 

We note your additional request on Friday, 24 September 2021 11:36 AM for:

all emails between the Childrens Commissioner and any health agency,
government agency, that discusses commentary on the vaccine.

 

Your request has been received and is being processed in accordance with
the Official Information Act 1982. We will endeavour to respond to your
request as soon as possible and in any event no later than 15^th October,
being 20 working days after the day your request was received.

The Office of the Children’s Commissioner does not have a specific age in which we will make a comment on a topic. Our legislative mandate is to advocate for the rights, interests and wellbeing of all children and young people up to the age of 18 years.

The Commissioner stands by the position that children aged 5 and over should be vaccinated to protect them, their whānau and hapori from the serious effects of Covid-19 infection.

Therefore, your request is refused under section 18(e) of the Act.

Please contact the Ministry of Health or MedSafe for further information on this topic. They are best placed to answer questions regarding Covid-19 and the vaccines.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
