Dear Mr Lee

We acknowledge receipt of your information request dated 1 September 2021 made under the Official Information Act, for entry statistics for the Medicine (MB ChB) and Dentistry (BDS) programmes for international students via Health Sciences First Year (HSFY).

Would it be possible to please clarify the information you are after in question number 2 of your request? You have asked for "successful applicants for MB ChB and BDS for the last 4 years". If you were able to confirm exactly what information you were after for successful applicants into the MB ChB and BDS programmes for international students via HSFY, it will allow us to process your request more efficiently.

We will wait to hear back from you before we continue to process your request.

Kind regards
Kelsey

Kia ora Mr Lee

We refer to your information request dated 1 September 2021 made under the Official Information Act 1982 (Act). You have requested information in relation to entry statistics for the Medicine (MB ChB) and Dentistry (BDS) programmes for international students.

The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit. We are therefore writing to notify you, pursuant to section 15A of the Act, of an extension of the time to make our decision in respect of your request, by a further five working days - to 6 October 2021.

This extension is necessary to allow for the completion of consultations necessary to make a decision on your request. We have started to process your request but unfortunately due to the recent COVID-19 lockdown, our staff have experienced a number of disruptions and processing has been delayed as a result. We apologise for the delay and thank you for your patience. We will endeavour to provide the information sooner if possible.

If you are not satisfied with our extension of time, you have the right to make a complaint to the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the Act. However, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss any concerns with you first.

Ngā mihi
Kelsey
