I refer to your request for information dated 18 December 2023 made under the Official Information Act. You have requested information in relation to entry to the Health Sciences Professional Programmes at the University of Otago in 2024.

Would it please be possible to clarify question 3 of your request? Are you interested in receiving the minimum academic scores to receive offers to each of the Professional Programmes via the HSFY General category on 18 December 2023? Please note that for the Bachelor of Oral Health, Bachelor of Dental Technology, and Bachelor of Radiation Therapy programmes, students enrolled in HSFY apply for these programmes via the 1 Year Tertiary Study category, rather than the HSFY category. Any information we provide in relation to these programmes will be based on the 1 Year Tertiary Study General category, rather than the HSFY General category.

We will wait to hear back from you before we continue to process your request.

Ngā mihi
Kelsey

I refer to your information request dated 18 December 2023 (clarified 11 January 2024) made under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). You have requested information in relation to entry to the Health Sciences Professional Programmes in 2024 (except the Bachelor of Oral Health, Bachelor of Dental Technology and Bachelor of Radiation Therapy).

The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the date your request was received (by Wednesday 7 February 2024). Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit. We are therefore writing to notify you, pursuant to section 15A of the Act, of an extension of the time to make our decision in respect of your request, by a further seven working days - to Friday 16 February 2024.

This extension is necessary to allow for consultations necessary to make a decision on your request. We apologise for the delay and thank you for your patience. We will endeavour to provide the information sooner if possible.

If you are not satisfied with our extension of time, you have the right to make a complaint to the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the Act. However, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss any concerns with you first.

Ngā mihi
Kelsey
