I am respectively requesting any documents relating to "Owen Charles
Wildbore-Brumby" of Palmerston North suspicious death.

 

Currently this matter is still under investigation and therefore I have
considered your request in accordance with the Official Information Act
1982.  Your request is refused pursuant to the following sections:

o Section 6(c) to avoid prejudice of the maintenance of the law,
including the prevention, investigation and detection of offences, and
the right to a fair trial;
o Section 9(2)(a) to protect the privacy of natural persons, including
that of deceased natural persons;

The information you have requested forms part of a Coroners file.

 

While Police may hold copies of information about this accident, any
information obtained by Police was obtained for the purpose of the
Coroner's investigation into the death of one of the parties and therefore
any request for information from the Coroner's file must be considered by
Coronial Services at the Ministry of Justice.
