Dear Cody,

My apologies for the delay in getting this to you. Please find the
following information provided by the Head of Financial Management/CFO:

Contactless payments generally incur additional charges, so the decision
was made to remove the capability when the country moved back to Level 1
last year.  However this decision has been reviewed recently (prior to
current lockdown) and we are already in the process of reinstating
contactless payments across all Council facilities.

We are expecting this to become a permanent change.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
[2]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
