Issues regarding Legal Aid
Leah Trass made this Official Information request to Ministry of Social Development
Ministry of Social Development did not have the information requested.
From: Leah Trass
Dear Ministry of Social Development,
1.How many complaints have been received in relation to individuals having issues seeking legal representation or having difficulties gaining legal aid to have matters heard in family court? Please be specific.
2.Other than numbers of registered lawyers who accept legal aid cases how sure are you that these firms are accepting the number seeking such representation?
3.Have you sort numbers of cases being currently refused for legal aid , family court and on what grounds? Or lawyers have turned away due to them being legally aided clients?
Yours faithfully,
Leah Trass
