Dear OIA_Requests (MSD),

That's wonderful, thank you very much for the timely response. It has just what I was looking for (minus the content still to come from the Minister).

Yours sincerely,

Email disclaimer:

Please note information about meetings related to the Ministers’
portfolios will be proactively released (this does not include personal or
constituency matters). For each meeting in scope, the summary would list:
date, time (start and finish), brief description, location, who the

be released. If you are a senior staff member at an organisation, or meet
with the Minister in your personal capacity, your name may also be
released. The location of the meeting will be released, unless it is a
private residence. The proactive release will be consistent with the
provisions in the Official Information Act, including privacy
considerations. Under the Privacy Act 1993 you have the right to ask for a
copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to
be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of
your information, or to have it corrected, or are concerned about the

Dear C Sepuloni (MIN),

Thank you for this response.

I note that a couple of titles have been withheld as "outside of scope." I don't believe this is correct. My original request was for "copies of the responses to OIA requests". As these responses included these titles, I don't believe they are out of scope, even if they relate to a different portfolio.

Are you able to send through these responses in full (aside from redactions to protect privacy/ any other grounds that might apply)?

Yours sincerely,

Will Inglis

Thank you for your email.

The information that has been redacted as ‘Out of Scope’ falls under
Minister Sepuloni’s Disability Issues portfolio.

You may remember the attached email discussion from 27 May 2021.

As you indicated that you were only interested in the Social Development
aspect of Minister Sepuloni’s Social Development and Employment portfolio,
this information was removed.

Should you still wish to receive the redacted information, we can reassess
this as a new OIA request.

Many thanks

From: Will Inglis

Hi Anna,

I've had another look at the clarification email as it sounds like we interpreted it differently.

The clarification states that the request is for "copies of responses to OIA requests received in relation to the Social Development aspect of Hon Carmel Sepuloni’s capacity as Minster for Social Development and Employment."

Again, this refers to copies of relevant responses, not relevant excerpts of responses. I.e. the clarification would exclude responses to requests made about the Minister's Disability Issues portfolio. The responses to any requests that relate to the Social Development portfolio, however, remain fully in scope.

I don't believe that it would be appropriate to reconsider as an entirely new request. As the information being requested has already been released before, it also seems strange to me that there would be any concerns with releasing and I'm a little confused about why the information would be withheld regardless.

I apologise for any misunderstanding, but please provide the full responses requested as soon as possible.

Yours sincerely,

Will Inglis
