Dear Porirua City Council,
I understand there was a JetSki event of some sort at Onepoto today. As a directly affected party I’m sure PCC is aware of the event and its scale and effects. In this respect please provide me with the following information:
- if a consent was required from PCC;
- if a consent was required;
+ a copy of the consent
+ a copy of the application
+ a copy of the officers report
- if a consent was not required from PCC a brief explanation why this was not the case.

Thank you for the initial response to my request. Further to this, PCC appears to claim no land use consent was required for the Jet Ski event as recreational activities are permitted subject to compliance with the permitted activity standards. Further to this: I request this information:
1. Whether PCC was given the opportunity, prior to the event occurring, to assess compliance with the ‘access ways’ standard in the district plan,
2. If PCC was given that opportunity, details of PCC’s assessment,
3. If PCC was not given that opportunity, details of the reasons why it can now claim that no land use consent under section 9(3) was required for the event.
