Office of the Controller and Auditor-General

Dear Mr Keneddy

Thank you for your email requesting information about the auditing of practical driver testing.

We do not audit driver testing and so do not have the information you are seeking. Our primary function is to carry out the annual audits of about 4000 entities in the public sector. Our work gives Parliament, public entities, and the public independent assurance that public entities are operating, and accounting for their performance, in keeping with Parliament’s intentions.

You may wish to contact the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) who may be able to help you: http://www.nzta.govt.nz/.

Regards

Jude Hutton
