Hi Tyler,

 

Just writing to clarify your recent OIA request to the Ministry of Health
that has been transferred to the Ministry of Justice. You requested:

 

            the total number to date (26/09/2020) of suicides that have
occurred in a managed isolation facility

 

The Ministry’s case management system holds information from 2007 onwards.
Since managed isolation facilities were only established in the beginning
of 2020, could you please clarify what date you would like the information
from? If we do from 2007 it will include any coronial cases where it was
recorded as a suicide occurring in an isolation management facility prior
to COVID-19.

 

Managed isolation facilities will include those listed on the Managed
Isolation and Quarantine website

We can amend the request to:

 

                The number of suspected self-inflicted deaths between X
and 26 September 2020 where the death occurred in a managed isolation
facility

 

If you would like multiple years then we can break the information down by
calendar year and month.
