Thank you for your official information request received on Thursday, 3
September 2020.

 

Your request is for a copy of all assessment reports for consent decisions
under "benefit to New Zealand test", "increased housing, non-residential,
and incidental residential use tests", and "special forestry test" in the
month ending 31 October 2020.

 

As this is a month in the future obviously we are not able to respond to
your request.  Would you please confirm that you meant 31 August 2020?

 

Also, as  currently worded, your request is very broad, and involves a
significant amount of information across a number of teams in the Overseas
Investment Office.   

 

Your request, as  currently worded, would involve substantial collation
and could possibly be refused under section 18(f) of the Official
Information Act as the information requested cannot be made available
without substantial collation. 

 

Accordingly, we would like to assist you to explore the option of
refining/rescoping your request by identifying more specifically the
information that you are interested in receiving.   As a starting point we
would welcome the opportunity to set up a time, that is convenient to you,
to call you to discuss your request.

Hi Pete,

 

Thank you for pointing that out. Yes, I do mean the month ending 31 August
2020.

 

I would be willing to narrow the scope to the executive summary and
consent conditions.

 

Over the last few months, there seems to have been about 5-8 reports (with
11 for July) and, spanning a number of teams, I'd hope the request is
manageable, particularly under the suggested revised scope above.
