State House Waitlist Statistics
Adam Parsons made this Official Information request to Kāinga Ora–Homes and Communities
The request was successful.
From: Adam Parsons
Dear Kāinga Ora–Homes and Communities,
I am requesting a number of different datapoints relevant to State Housing and the State Housing Waiting List(s).
a) How many unique people and/or families have been removed from a State House Waiting List for any reason other than being housed in a State House, each year, since the list(s) began and tabulated by reason
b) How many unique people and/or families have been placed in a State House from the State House Waiting List each year, since the list(s) began, and tabulated by priority category
c) How many unique people and/or families joined the State House Waiting List at any point each year, since the list(s) began, and tabulated by priority category
d) How many unique people and/or families have applied to join the State House Waiting List at any point each year, since the list(s) began, and tabulated by priority category if available
e) How many State Houses have been owned and available for accommodation, incl. occupied houses each year, since the State Housing program began
f) How many State Houses have been owned but not available for accommodation for any reason each year for any period of time, factored by annualised unavailability of stock - for example, a house that has been unavailable due to renovations for 6 months would be denominated as 0.5 houses
Yours faithfully,
Adam Parsons
