Dear Joanne de Lange,
Both of these release documents seem to be parts of a conversion.
The first starts off with discussing moving the check point down the road, but doesn't include discussions about the option they are moving off.
The second document starts off with "a brief revision of background and actions from the March meeting"
Which would lead to me believing there should be meeting notes from that meeting. Are we able to see these?
Yours sincerely,
Troy Cornwall

Thanks for your email, which has been referred to me to respond to.
The meeting notes you refer to fall outside of the scope of your original OIA request, so we would need to go through the process of another OIA to be able to get these to you, which would take another 20 working days. I'm more than happy to get that sorted for you, but am also happy to chat to discuss the information you may be seeking to see if there's a better document that will give you the information you need.
Please feel free to let me know a number to get you on, or you can call me on the below number. Alternatively, please let me know if you're happy for me to put your request for meeting notes from the March meeting through our system as an OIA.
Nga mihi nui
Libby

Dear Libby OBrien,
I believe you're mistaken.
The original request was "Can you please provide all communications around the check points on the Bruce Road and the Mountain Road"
The additional requested documents are communications around the check points on the Bruce Road and the Mountain Road.
Yours sincerely,
Troy Cornwall

Thanks for your email. The meeting notes are not in scope - they don't mention check points on the Bruce Road or Mountain Road.
I'm more than happy to provide them to you, but I will need to do this as a new Official Information Act request. Please let me know if you would like me to do this and your request will be responded to within 20 working days.

Dear Libby OBrien,
I have a snippet of the meeting notes from that meeting which show that it does.
" Parking Strategy and Management Plan
Doc will support management of parking including associated infrastructure and has been advised by
Treaty partners to implement change in Tongariro National Park. Discussion about how to manage
parking demand and PT, travel demand incentives like first tracks and vehicle occupancy were
discussed as immediate action to consider"
Yours sincerely,
Troy Cornwall

Thanks Troy. I'll treat your request as an OIA. You'll receive confirmation of this shortly.

Dear Libby OBrien,
This should be covered by the original OIA request.
The councils request released part of that document.
They also released a document which contained "Jono briefed the meeting on the recent letter from DoC regarding a requirement to improve demand management, visitors accessing the ski areas during peak demand times. The meeting agreed that our work on transport demand management is a critical element amonga suite of interventions for managing peak demand."
This letter alluded to should have been part of the initial OIA request as it is a part of a communication sent by DoC regarding the check points on both the Bruce Road and the Mountain Road.
Yours sincerely,
Troy Cornwall

Thanks Troy. I don't believe it mentions check points.
I'll ensure you receive the document as soon as possible.
