Dear James Gribble,
Thank you for your prompt response to my OIA request. A Statement of Claim has been issued by the Queenstown District Court requiring that I present my defence to this within 25 working days from 30th June 2020, which by my reckoning is 4th August 2020. Given that I will need several days to research any results provided, I'd be grateful if you can progress this matter asap.
Yours sincerely,
Mike Riddell

From: Mike Riddell
Dear James Gribble,
Thank you for your message dated 24th July 2020, responding to my OIA request for emails between Cr Michael Laws and other ORC Councillors for the period previously specified.
I note the difficulties you are having in compiling the information, but unfortunately it is all necessary.
In the short term, you could concentrate on emails for the period between Cr Laws, Cr Calvert, and Cr Kelliher, but for my defence in court I will need to see the entire body of emails.
In redacting the correspondence, I trust you will be discerning of relevant material concerning moves to unseat Cr Marian Hobbs, and not redact relevant information for reasons of 'free and frank
expressions of opinion.' If that were to happen, I would need to refer the matter to the Ombudsman's Office.
Yours sincerely,
Mike Riddell

Dear James Gribble,
A reminder that today is the 27th August, the date to which you asked an extension for provision of the materials requested under the OIA. I look forward to receipt of those materials today. Any further delay will of necessity trigger a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman.
Many thanks for your work on the request to date.
Yours sincerely,
Mike Riddell
