CCTV footage- Car accident in intersection between Market Rd/Great South Rd, 1:00am-2:00am, 31 May 2020
Ankit Sharma made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport
The request was refused by Auckland Transport.
From: Ankit Sharma
Dear Auckland Transport,
I am writing to request CCTV footage at an intersection between Market Rd/Great south Rd, On the lights between 1:00am-2:00am on the 31st of May 2020.
I was involved in a major accident resulting in my vehicle being severely damaged.
The other vehicle which is a Grey Nissan Murano Station Wagon is refusing to cover the damages of my vehicle although they have gone through a red light which resulted the crash. My vehicle is a White BMW 320d. I am not sure if this location is under your jurisdiction but in particular I am looking for the speed at which the other vehicle was travelling at and if they were crossing at a red light, the police had also not made it at the time of the accident so I am requesting any working camera footage. This footage would help me a lot as it will be proof shown that the other vehicle was in the wrong. Shown to the police and Insurance company.
If you are not able to release the footage I understand that this may be a pain to go over previous footage, but I thank you for complying with me.
Yours faithfully,
Ankit Sharma
