Response to this request is long overdue. By law Watercare Services Limited should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Anna Thomas

Dear Watercare Services Limited,

Auckland is facing a once in 30 year drought with residents under water restrictions.
I have a number of questions regarding the expertise of the current Watercare Chief Executive Raveen Jaduram and his executive.
1) What is the salary of Raveen Jaduram. Is it $770k per annum - as reported?
2) How many Watercare Executives earn over $500k?
3) What skills and qualifications does Mr Jaduram have to hold this position.
4) When was he appointed as CE and who were the other contenders?
5) Please provide a copy of his position description.
6) Please provide his key performance indicators.
7) Please provide evidence of his achieving or failing to achieve those KPIs over the term of his employment with Watercare.
8) Does he get paid a performance bonus?
9) Do any of his membership team receive a performance bonus?
10) When was the last performance bonus paid to Mr Jaduram and his executives and how much was it.

Yours faithfully,
Anna Thomas

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email contacting us at Watercare.

1. Water is precious and even more so during the severe Auckland drought
that we are experiencing.

Please limit outside water use and follow the below tips:

•           Reduce your shower time – Shower usage is responsible for
approx. 30% of the water usage in your home.

•           Turn off your bathroom tap while brushing teeth or shaving –
This can use up to 5 litres of water everyday.

•           Change to water-efficient settings on your washing machine -
use the economy settings on your washing machine. Reducing the wash to one
rinse cycle rather than two will also save up to 100 litres of water per
wash!

•           Don’t wash small loads - wash full loads washing machines are
a large user of water.

•           Don’t leave taps running while using the sink in the kitchen,
use a bowl to scrub vegetables in the kitchen sink. You can then pour the
water on your plants.

•           Leave the water blaster in the shed and hold off washing the
car. Every drop you save makes a difference.
