Technical details and specs for Rippl contact tracing system

Thomas Beagle made this Official Information request to Wellington City Council

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Wellington City Council should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Thomas Beagle

Dear Wellington City Council,

I am seeking technical information about the Rippl contact tracking system developed by PaperKite.

In particular I am seeking information about the technical design of the system including what data is stored, where data is stored, how data flows between parts of the Rippl system, what data is communicated with other systems and how this is done, what functions the software has, how these functions are implemented, and what is the future roadmap of the product's development.

I expect that this request could be satisfied by providing technical architectural documents and protocol specifications prepared by the developer or by a similar description prepared internally.

I understand that the system is probably still under development (although it has been deployed) and therefore likely to change but I am happy to accept draft or beta documents.

Finally, I recommend that the best way to provide these documents to me is by publishing them on your website so that others can also access them.

Yours faithfully,

Thomas Beagle
