Unfortunately, we are unable to advise the dates of forthcoming
citizenship ceremonies.

The next citizenship ceremony was scheduled to be held on 18 March, but in
light of the increased risk posed to people attending public events and
mass gatherings from COVID-19, the Christchurch City Council has decided
to cancel this ceremony.

Due to the COVID-19 situation and the Government restrictions for public
events rapidly changing, it is difficult for us to plan future ceremony
dates.

We will monitor the situation carefully and consult with the Department of
Internal Affairs to plan future ceremonies in Christchurch.

 

If your citizenship request is urgent please contact the DIA.
