School property survey from early 1990s
Tony Meyer made this Official Information request to Ministry of Education
The request was refused by Ministry of Education.
From: Tony Meyer
Dear Ministry of Education,
In the early 1990s, the Ministry organised a survey that determined the ownership of school pools throughout New Zealand (possibly ownership of all school property?). I believe it may have been carried out by Beca.
Please provide a copy of the resulting report.
Ngā mihi,
Tony Meyer

Thank you for your request for information below. The Ministry will
consider and respond to your request in accordance with the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act).
The Act allows up to 20 working days for a response, making 31 January
2020 the latest date for our response to you. If more than 20 working
days are needed due to the potential workload involved in answering your
request, we will notify you accordingly.
Under the Official Information Act (see definition of “working day” in
section 2), the period between 25 December – 15 January are not considered
to be “working days” for the purposes of calculating the 20 working day
timeframe for proving a response under the Act.
Please note, the Ministry may publicly release on our website the response
to your request five days after you have received it. Any personal
information will be removed.
In the interim, if you have any questions about your request, please email
[email address].
Thanks

Kia ora Tony
Following up on your request of 12 December 2019. We have carried out a
preliminary search with our Records Services and Archives New Zealand.
Unfortunately we are unable to locate a survey that meets your
description.
As you will no doubt understand, records from 30 years ago are not easily
accessible, in one place, nor retrievable. Your request as it stands is
very broad and we are likely to refuse your request under section 18(e) of
the Act, as the document alleged to contain the information requested does
not exist or, despite reasonable efforts to locate it, cannot be found.
If you can provide further clarification or guidance by 12pm 31 January to
help us find this survey, we will consider whether we can reasonably
locate it.
Ngā mihi,

Somehow, the Ministry managed to find this document as part of a later OIA request.
The section relevant to Ahuroa School can be found here: https://fyi.org.nz/request/13453-all-doc...
I assume that anyone looking for the same but for other schools should be able to refer to that to clarify exactly what is requested.
