I refer to your request of 3 October 2019. The University’s response
follows.
 

 1. Was the course MUS 343 (Contemporary Art Music From Aotearoa New
Zealand) offered in the years 2015, 2017, 2018? There are no
registered enrolments in these years, but I want to clarify whether
this was due to lack of demand or the course not being offered.
MUS 343 was not offered in 2015. The course was offered in 2017 and
2018 but in each of those years was cancelled owing to lack of demand.
By way of additional information, the course was offered and taught in
2016. In 2018 the new BMUS degree structure was approved: MUS343 is a
core course for all students.

 

 2. Is it correct that the paired courses MUSIC 744A/MUSIC 744B (Studies
in New Zealand Music) were disestablished in 2012?

The course was approved to be deleted in 2011 and was not offered from
2012.
 
3. What year was the course MUSIC 149 (Studies in New Zealand Music)
established? I can see that it was offered from at least 2007 to 2011, but
am seeking to ascertain how many years prior to 2007 it was offered.
     MUSIC 149 was approved in 2003 for delivery in 2004. MUSIC 149G
(General Education course) was approved in 2005 for delivery in 2006.
