four-lane motorways  "...are expected to cost around $10.5 billion" - can
I please have any and all advice and estimates that shows the expected

Dear Barry,

Thank you for your follow-up question regarding cost estimates. We can confirm that the NZ Transport Agency does not hold any cost estimates relating to those proposed roading improvements.

As outlined in our response, the proposal was from a political party as part of an election campaign. It would be against the law for the Transport Agency to be involved in developing election policy for a political party. As a result, we had no involvement in the development of those costs.

Thank you for your email. We can confirm that some similar projects were
proposed by the Transport Agency but many were smaller in size and design
i.e. safety improvements to an existing road rather than construction of a
new four-lane road.

 

In order to explain this in more detail we will provide you with a formal

pages for some of those proposed roads, there are estimated costs. For
