I refer to your LGOIMA request dated 18 July 2019 for information about
Resource consents for combustion discharges.

This email is just to let you know that we need bit of extra time. Local
Government Official Information And Meetings Act requires that we advise
you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after
the day we received your request. Unfortunately I could not send this

There is one consent (085308V5) that has various burning appliances that get replaced over time so that resource consent decision is attached rather than trying to put it all in the table.

Dear Nelson City Council,

The Nelson City Council controls discharges of contaminants from large-scale fuel burning appliances (> 70 kW) under Rules AQr.28 - AQr.32 of the Nelson Air Quality Plan. Small-scale combustion and the use of a backup generator are generally permitted activities, provided conditions (including on heat or power output) are complied with - the exception being light or heavy fuel oil, which is a controlled activity. Larger-scale combustion is generally a discretionary or restricted discretionary activity, requiring a resource consent. I would like to request the following information under the LGOIMA:

* a list of all the resource consents in force for discharges from large-scale fuel burning appliances under Rules AQr.28 - AQr.32 of the Nelson Air Quality Plan. For each consent I would like the date of issue, date of expiry, the fuel source for the combustion, and the power in kW or MW (if known) or maximum combustion rate (e.g. in tonnes per hour, if known).

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
