We received your complaint via the Ombudsman earlier this week.
Firstly my apologies that this was not responded to in the required
timeframe.
When I looked at this request, I thought it was a request which we had
already received from you which had been duplicated.

We have now gone ahead and done a search in our email archives between:

CHBDC Chief Executive and any email address ending in @hbrc.govt.nz
With the keywords Water Holdings CHB

And CHBDC Mayor and any email address ending in @hbrc.govt.nz
With the keywords Water Holdings CHB

For the period between 30/06/2018 to 30/06/2019

I have received the entries back from this search.
We are now consulting with Hawkes Bay Regional Council to see if they have
any concerns with us releasing their emails.
Once they have provided their input we will be able to make a decision on
our request.
We expect this to take place next week but will keep you informed.

Unfortunately today is my last day at the Council.

between the Central Hawkes Bay District Council CEO, Mayor and the Hawkes
Bay Regional Council regarding Water Holdings CHB ltd.

You will note that we have removed some of the information contained
within the emails as follows:

 

·         The name of our IT staff member who provided the emails from our
archives

·         The email addresses of the directors and shareholders of Water
Holdings CHB

 

This information is withheld under s 7(2)(a) of the Local Government
Official Information Act 1987 where withholding is necessary to protect
privacy.
