summary: Questions about claims in Whitby News June 2019
Kinoy2019 made this Official Information request to Porirua City Council
The request was partially successful.

    Dear Porirua City Council,
A number of questions were raised on Page 2 of the June 2019 Whitby News brief, that suggested serious mismanagement and possible dishonesty by the mayor and councilors. These if true would be very serious matters. It would be helpful if Porirua City Council could provide clarity on these issues. I have attempted to make these simple questions which will not require a significant investment of council time. I hope they can be answered quickly. My questions are;
(1) Is there, or has there been a claim against PCC for delays caused to the Transmission Gully Project? If yes, please provide a brief summary of those claims and the expected costs.
(2) Is PCC having to buy leaky homes due to PCC construction oversight mistakes?
(3) What cost overun (if any) has there been on the rennovation of the Porirua Council office? What was the project budget and what has it actually cost?
(4) Did Porirua City Council pay for half of the costs of a three week trip to China for the Mayor? If yes, what was the justification for this trip?
(5) Does the Porirua City Council have a copy of "The Fish Rots from the Head" by Bob Garrett, in its library collection?
Yours faithfully,
Kaleb Lloyd
