Date of new parking signage

Dear Auckland City Council,

I received a parking infringement notice 3016005397 issued 5 June 2013 while parked in North Daldy street, near the Viaduct tank farm,Auckland Central. I wish to find out on what date the relevant zone parking signage was erected as I believe it may have been installed the same day or the night before. I cannot defend charges laid against me without facts that only the council holds (the sign company wouldn't tell me)The Parking sign is a blue "Parking 180 At All Times Zone Begins" almost opposite the entry to the LPG pier, adjacent to a large tank, strapped to a power or telegraph pole with black plastic straps. The pole is situated on the grass verge. Its the first and only Zone parking sign for this zone on this side of the street as drivers head North. Installed by Directionz in 2013 behind a tree. Made by RTL Roadsigns.

Dear Info (AT),

I still have no response on this. Surely its as easy a s a phone call to the company that installed the signs. Its written on the back of the sign for goodness sake! I called the company myself but they wouldn't tell me when they installed it. 'Privacy' used as an excuse by a signage company that couldn't be bothered trying to help.

Please respond. I have no intention of paying the ticket this relates to until I have the information when it the parking sign was installed.

It is disappointing this hasn't been actioned yet. Small matter but a big principle involved as it speaks to the heart of whether Auckland Council embraces democracy or just pays lipservice when it suits
