Information concerning 25-OIAD-00029
Nigel Gray made this Official Information request to Ministry for the Environment
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Nigel Gray to read a recent response and update the status.
From: Nigel Gray
Dear Ministry for the Environment,
Kia ora,
Thank you for your response and for conducting a targeted search.
To clarify Part 5 of my request (25‑OIAD‑00029):
I am seeking correspondence relating to the broader topic of atmospheric pollution from maritime vessels, including cloud formation, plumes, and emissions, where these are linked to atmospheric or weather impacts, rather than general weather discussions.
To assist with processing, I refine Part 5 as follows:
5. Please provide correspondence between the Ministry and the following agencies: Maritime NZ, EPA, and NIWA, between 1 January 2022 and 1 December 2025, that includes reference to any of the following keywords:
- “Annex VI”
- “ship emissions”
- “plume”
- “cloud formation”
- “atmospheric pollution”
- “weather impacts”
Please exclude purely administrative correspondence (e.g. meeting scheduling, logistics) unless it contains substantive discussion of the above topics.
I trust this refinement will enable the Ministry to proceed with the request. Please let me know if further adjustment is needed.
Ngā mihi,
Nigel
Yours faithfully,
Nigel Gray
