Thank you for your correspondence of 19 December 2025 seeking clarification of the date ranges for questions 3 and 5 of my Official Information Act 1982 request.

To assist Maritime NZ in identifying material in scope, I confirm the following:

Question 3 (reports, datasets, or records relating to ship emissions or plumes):
Please provide material from 1 January 2015 to the present.

Question 5 (correspondence between Maritime NZ and other agencies relating to ship emissions, plumes, or cloud formation):
Please provide material from 1 January 2020 to the present.

For the avoidance of doubt, if Maritime NZ holds records outside these ranges, I request that you confirm their existence explicitly under section 18(e) of the Act. If any information is withheld, please specify the precise section of the Act relied upon, as required under section 19.
