Advice on access agreements to prospect on schedule 4 land

Alex Harris made this Official Information request to Minister of Conservation

This request has been withdrawn by the person who made it. There may be an explanation in the correspondence below.

From: Alex Harris

Dear Minister of Conservation,

TV3 reported today that the government had issued mineral exploration permits for schedule 4 land, including the Coromandel and Paparoa National Park ("Prospecting allowed on protected land", 3 News, 28/3/13). I would like to request the following information under the OIA:

* How many access agreements in relation to Schedule 4 protected land has the Minister issued since 1/1/2013?
* How many access agreements in relation to Schedule 4 protected land has the Minister rejected since 1/1/13?
* For each access agreement issued or rejected, the company/person the agreement was issued to, the purpose for which access was sought, and any advice received on the proposal.

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.

With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.

Yours faithfully,

Alex Harris

This seems to have been sent to the wrong email address; Kate Wilkinson was not Minister of Conservation at the time. I've since found an answer in a Parliamentary written question:
