information will not answer your request fully; however it is presented by
us to demonstrate the depth and breadth of the Authority’s work each

Dear Independent Police Conduct Authority,

 

I am interested in the number of complaints lodged with the IPCA and the
outcome of the complaints. Please provide me with the following:

 

-The total number of complaints received by the IPCA, broken down by year
as far back as records permit.

-The total number of complaints received by the IPCA that were
investigated by the IPCA, broken down by year as far back as records
permit.

-The total number of complaints received by the IPCA that were
investigated by the New Zealand Police, broken down by year as far back as
records permit.

-The totals of each type of outcome of complaints, broken down by year
(i.e. complaint upheld/not upheld, officer’s actions were justified)

 

Please provide me with this information in an excel document.
