Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
I`m writing to ask for some motorway CCTV footage where SH20 meets with SH1 between 5:00 pm and 5:45 pm on 15 August 2018.
A red dark/gunmetal grey Toyota Hiace van didn't stop at the onramp stop lights and nearly collided with my car - EZM676 Honda Accord 2001 (White) between 5:00 pm and 5:45 pm. He was in the row behind me in the middle lane and should have waited for his turn for the next green light, but didn't and broke the lights. The driver was very aggressive and dangerous on the road. He confronted me after I beeped my horn to remind him that he was in the wrong as he nearly collided with my car.
He pulled down his window and came up with this random conclusion that the motorway sign says 'One vehicle per green each light' (mixed with a lot of swear words) and there were 5 lights so 5 cars can move at the same time, and I corrected him several times to 'One vehicle per green each lane' and there are 3 lanes so only 3 lanes are meant to pass on each green light. He even tried to swerve towards me showing that he wants to start a fight, very aggressive and dangerous person on the road.
I believe there could be some footage on these several cameras;
Lambie Drive Camera looking south
SH20 to SH1 onramp heading south
Between SH1 onramp from SH20 and Hill Road offramp
Between Hill Road offramp and Takanini offramp
I would like to find out the plate number of the car which I could pass on to the police for further investigation.
I have a Police file reference number. Let me know if your require this.
Yours faithfully,
Erfan Akhtar Jahan
