Can you please provide information on the number of pension fraud cases have been identified in each of the last ten years?

Can you please also provide information on the treatment of the persons identified as having committed pension fraud? How many were prosecuted? How many were let off with nothing more than being requested to repay the amount that had been fraudulently claimed?

Information Act 1982, the following information:

 

·         Can you please provide information on the number of pension
fraud cases have been identified in each of the last ten years?

 

·         Can you please also provide information on the treatment of the
persons identified as having committed pension fraud? How many were
prosecuted? How many were let off with nothing more than being requested
to repay the amount that had been fraudulently claimed?

 

Please find enclosed, two previous responses that you may find beneficial
in response to your request.

 

If this information does not satisfy what you are looking for, the
Ministry will continue to progress your request as an Official Information
Act Request. The Ministry is also able to provide you with updated
information for the time period you have requested if you would also like
