Dear Mr Harris-Harding

You have requested internal emails related to University of Auckland student responses to the LLS-SDM Consultation Document and the CAI Libraries Review conducted in 2017-2018. There were no formal student responses to these documents, and so there are not any internal emails discussing them. This request is refused under s 18(e) of the Official Information Act, as the documents requested do not exist.

You have also requested internal emails related to press coverage of the University of Auckland student response to these documents. The University of Auckland has over 5000 Full Time Equivalent staff members, and it is not feasible to put your request to each of them. Neither fixing a charge nor extending the time limit would enable your request to be granted. Your request is refused under s 18(f) of the Official Information Act.

You have the right to request an investigation and review of this decision by way of a complaint to the Ombudsman under s 28(3) of the Official Information Act.

Yours sincerely,

Rebecca Ewert
General Counsel
The University of Auckland
