The Protective Security Requirements team works closely with lead security agencies to provide guidance and support on the implementation of the PSR (www.protectivesecurity.govt.nz) and in lifting security capability across government. As part of this role, the PSR team deal with mandated contractors, such as Thompson and Clark, who provide security advice across government.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet the time limit of your request and, therefore, we are writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision by 30 working days. We will respond to your request as soon as practicable, however, no later than 19 June 2018.

This extension is necessary because your request necessitates a search through a large quantity of information [we are required to check all our holdings and email inboxes] and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with our operations, and consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
