Zane Collins made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

Response to this request is long overdue. By law New Zealand Police should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Zane Collins

Dear New Zealand Police,

I would like to request the statistics of how many caution letters have been issued against suspects who were not found guilty nor convicted with breach of law. I want them between year 2000 - 2016

From: MCMAHON, Teresa
New Zealand Police

Dear Zane Collins

I refer to your request of 9 March 2018 in which you ask: I would like to
request the statistics of how many caution letters have been issued
against suspects who were not found guilty nor convicted with breach of
law. I want them between years 2000 – 2016.

Police does not count the number of caution or warning letters sent by
Police to suspects found not guilty nor convicted with a breach of the
law.  I regret that Police cannot answer your question as the information
you have asked for is not held.

You have the right to complain to the Ombudsman about my reply.
