On behalf of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment I
acknowledge your email of 20 November 2017 requesting under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following:

·        I would like to make an OIA request as I am unable to find any
appropriate division on INZ website where I can search for time frames
regarding reassessment by INZ.

 

·        Can you please advise if the IPT decision is successful and the
file is being sent back to INZ for reconsideration , what is a generic
time frame that INZ gives a decision after reassessing the resident file
again?

 

·        Please note: I am totally aware about the time frames for the SMC
resident file decision time frames , however considering that the decision
was incorrect from INZ , how long more does generally INZ takes to give
the decision out after reassessing the file?

Dear Anchal,

Residence applications that are referred for reassessment by the Immigration and Protection Tribunal are generally allocated to an Immigration Office within 7 days. The processing time once allocated is the same as for other residence applications and this is because the officer must conduct an assessment against all the relevant instructions before a decision can be made on the application.
