Dear Chris Gousmett

Thank you for your request for information under the Official Information
Act 1982, received by The Department of Internal Affairs (the Department)
on 7 August 2016. You requested:

Please provide all information relating to consideration as to whether
Otakaro Ltd. (a Crown company) should be subject to:

A. The Public Records Act

B. The Official Information Act.

In relation to part A of your request, the Department administers the
Public Records Act 2005 and will seek to communicate its response to your
request for information within 20 working days, which is by 2 September
2016.

The information you request in part B of your request is more closely
connected with the functions of the Ministry of Justice, who administer
the Official Information Act 1982. I am transferring part B of your
request to the Ministry under section 14 of the Official Information Act
1982.
