Police officers training for handling DV complaints

Zane Collins made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

Response to this request is long overdue. By law New Zealand Police should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Zane Collins

Dear New Zealand Police,

What is the training you provide for policemen so that they are able to assess Domestic Violence.

As per the DV act that any police officer can arrest a man, if they have a "good cause".

Yours faithfully,

Zane Collins
